Farming Online Mailbox Full
The three common causes of mailbox full errors are:
- The mailbox has not been emptied.
- A copy of each e-mail is being left in the mailbox by Outlook/Outlook Express or Windows Mail when sending/receiving.
- A large e-mail has been sent to the mailbox.
Symptoms
- Continual username/password requests (excluding error 691).
- Repeated receipt of duplicated e-mails.
- Mailbox full warning e-mails.
Resolution
- Log on to the mailbox using Farming Online webmail: webmail.farming.co.uk.
Webmail shows the proportion of the mailbox that is full at the foot. Select the larger e-mails (denoted by the size in bytes) and Delete.
If you are unable to log onto webmail because of the following error: user already logged in. Then close down all web browsers and your e-mail and retry after 10-15mins.
- Check the settings in Outlook Express to make sure that it is not leaving a copy of each message in the mailbox [Outlook Express]:
- Tools
- Accounts
- Select Mail tab
- Highlight the account in the window and select Properties
- Select the Advanced tab
- Check whether "Leave a copy on the server" is checked. If yes, uncheck it.
- Select OK.
- Check that you are not being sent a file larger than the default mailbox size (20mb).
