Farming Online Broadband Technical Support

Broadband Connectivity
Farming Online Broadband has a target 24/7 service level with no down download limits or service restrictions. The most common cause of poor connectivity is phone line noise.

NB - A phone line fault will reveal itself via the DSL light on the front panel of the router. The DSL light should be on continuously or flicker, it should not flash regularly or be off. If the DSL light is off/flashing regularly, this is symptomatic of a line issue (follow steps below).

Procedure to resolve Broadband line issue connectivity problems

  1. Reboot (switch off/on) both the router and all connected computers.
  2. Contact the phone line provider and request an 'ECO' line test. If this reveals a problem, get this resolved before continuing.
  3. Contact Farming Online support [0870 909 0903] to run through further diagnostics and perform an ADSL line test.
Notes
If the problem is not resolved, by following the above steps, try:
  • If an extension cable or secondary telephony device is connected to the same phone line, temporarily disconnect it so that the modem/router is the only device connected direct to the phone master socket;
  • If the phone line experiences excessive line noise, it may be worth sourcing a better quality micro filter. We recommendation contacting adslnation.com t: 01865 761114.
If the problem persists still further contact 0870 909 0902.
